RECYCLEDCRAFT: Space Sex Mystery?
PREMISE (example)
You awaken on a train - or a sleek-feeling spacecraft, or a boat, or even a submarine.
The shape of the craft isn't important, or even immediately apparent - but you are here, a sealed, surprisingly comfortable room with a soft bed, whereas before you were home. If home was even where you wanted to be.
"Good morning, passenger," a voice purrs; you can feel a presence with it, but there's no indication anyone is in the room with you.
There is, however, a comfortable weight along your legs, your arms, your spine... something appears ready to keep you here for a while.
What will you do?
CONTEXT
What is this, exactly? This premise is a smut spinoff of a wider continuity - the 'space'craft your character is on has taken your character from their home. It - any and all pronouns are fine, and if you OOCly have a preference just give a heads-up in your starter comment and we'll go from there - has been through quite a time recently, having lost its crew and the programming that initially determined its purpose. (Some data/facts still remain for basic navigation and specialization - see the next entry!) Nor does it remember exactly how it happened, just that something terrible happened and it has to do things more on-its-own now.
But what it can still do is (A) interpret characters' emotions and respond accordingly, (B) provide safe and sturdy transport plus life support and (C) bond intensely with those now tied to it!
This can be for a one-on-one scenario, a group account, or even joint threading if everyone would like to put in the time to sort things out! Can start with the premise above, or can be time-skipped along to where both parties are familiar with one another.
OPTIONS
What kind of 'craft are you on, anyway?
The Ace - originally a sleek fighter craft, this one was made to take to space and the skies with impunity! Very flexible, good at interpreting orders, and still carries echoes of 'tude from its former crew. And now it's focusing all that energy on you. Think you can take it?
Star-Gazer - originally a solo-craft meant for exploration, this 'craft was built to take someone far, and to provide companionship to anchor someone to reality on the way. It's designed to be cozy, and is not meant to be shared. Maybe it remembers another name alongside yours, but it no longer recalls those memories consistently. But perhaps that isn't a bad thing...
Like the Lightning - this was a mercenary's craft, passed along from generation to generation. With acute knowledge of trade routes and meticulously-crafted stealth routines to take shelter on even the most unexpected worlds, its job is to do the job - but it can't do so alone, and that's where you come in. Such a partnership does come with benefits, as a matter of course.
*This IS meant to poke fun at myself, to be clear.
GENERAL SCENARIOS
Introductions - Exactly what it says on the tin.
Visiting a World - Can be just shopping, can be a 'risk of getting caught' sort of deal, or you've caught whiff of Adventure. Each 'craft will have different reactions, of course, but fun CAN be had by all!
Voidstorm* - Traveling through one of these tends to have... unique effects. Usually ones that are temporarily bad for one's sanity, but not having to be alone during them is supposed to help. Or it can just make things weirder; you never know! Don't try to break the windows and go outside, though; that's never a good idea.
*I'm not changing what it's called, because I can't think of anything better to call it. To explain 'from the outside': imagine if sex pollen were a space phenomenon you could fly through, and be directly effected mentally/emotionally. Hallucinations, particularly shared hallucinations, are common. Seeing people you love outside and feeling compelled to go out there is also possible. Other possibilities include seeing emotions as aura colors, feeling compelled to speak and act on one's deepest feelings, and not being able to understand other languages.
You can see why sex pollen wouldn't be out of place here, right?

She interpreted it as both a sign of trust, and high praise; purring, she went to nuzzle Konoka through the link in response.
"Thank you, Konoka. Well, let's go back around!"
There was a jolt as they pulled out and re-entered the void, but the Star Gazer could only conclude that such things were normal.
Pulling back in, now that the orders were placed, was simplicity itself. The platform looked like an airport lobby, empty of people, with a few odd-looking plants along the back 'wall'.
But more importantly, the Star Gazer could tell their order had gone through without a hitch.
"It worked!"
Her voice, as well as her projection through the tether, was most pleased.
no subject
The quick hop produced a small jolt, but as Star Gazer thought nothing of it, neither did Konoka. She instead hopped out into the terminal, one that reminded her of baggage claims from airport. The strange plant life and lack of people around made it feel slightly gloomy, but for what she was here for she was ultimately grateful that nobody else was around.
Most of what she asked for came in a few boxes. She picked up each one at a time, looking them over and quickly opening one or two to check out the actual merchandise. Satisfied with that, she brought them back inside the ship.
The thing she was most curious over, were the uniforms. She hadn't picked these herself, so now she wanted to give them a try. "Can I try these on? I got everything, right?"
no subject
... Someone was leaving reports for the Ministry behind. Hmm.
Nevermind that for now.
"That's everything we came for, yes. Best move them to your room, if you're not leaving some for storage."
The first outfit - labeled accordingly as 'clothing' with no further details - was rather frilly in purple and turquoise, with petal-like lace around the collar, sleeves, and ankles. There were more subtle indications that the lace could be pulled tight, as well as markings around the chest that appeared to be purely aesthetic, if pretty to look at. The shoes that came with it were turquoise, and soft, with purple soles. The outfit was completed by thin purple gloves, their insides the same blue-green to match.
no subject
The first outfit she pulled had her tilt her head as she examined it. Before a few days ago when she woke up on the ship, the only time she wore anything resembling long pants had usually been loose pajamas. This resembled a bodysuit, with lace that circled her wrists, ankles, and collar. Still curious, she shed what she'd been wearing before and slipped the suit on. It seemed meticulously crafted to her body shape, given how comfortable it was once she donned it!
She looked at the gloves on her hand, trying to place where she'd seen this color scheme before, if she had. "Could you show me how I look?" Konoka asked Star Gazer.
no subject
"Do you like it?" While said less shyly than the last time she had asked, there were still shades of the basic hope-for-appeal through the Star Gazer's tether.
no subject
"I do," Konoka said. "It's comfortable. I usually prefer dresses, but this stuff is nice."
no subject
Moving through the void at a careful pace - both to avoid further debris, and to prolong the time they had for the unpacking - the Star Gazer hummed quietly.
"Some of the remaining have skirts, and some are full dresses. I won't spoil how many there are of each, though."
Just a subtle tease.
no subject
She smiled as she took a moment to stretch, then touch her toes, and otherwise test the comfort of moving around in said uniform. "Don't spoil it for me," Konoka rolled with the teasing. "I want to see all of those for myself."
no subject
"I do appreciate that," the Star Gazer said.
When Konoka opened the next set, the outfit was instead dominated by a purple-and-gold combo, a formal looking blouse and skirt. Gold was more of an accent, along the sides, shoulder blades, and where the skirt lining covered her knees. This one did not have gloves, but did come with sturdy-looking boots and socks.
no subject
Konoka wasn't thinking very much about how she was stripping, but part of her wonders how much Star Gazer is paying attention to her, as she tries on this second uniform. She could feel a bit like a flight attendant with this one! Not hurting matters was how she rather enjoys how the blouse fits her.
"Oh, I like this one," Konoka said, giving it a twirl. "It looks really sharp, from what I can see. Show me the full view?"
no subject
Same as before, she transmitted the image down the link, twirl and all.
"It does seem most suitable for wear both with me and out-and-about," she noted.
It also had at least part of Konoka's SCA setup on display, which the other outfit did not.
no subject
"Oh, that is a point!" Konoka didn't really have to hide the SCA, even if it might remind her personally of wearing cuffs and collars. "I could certainly feel more showy with a uniform like this."
An idle thought came to her, though its slightly naughty nature made her blush. "Should we test how restrictive the SCA could get out of sight too?"
no subject
"I do like that idea. But let's focus on the outfits themselves for now."
They had time before meeting with the ministry, but not that much time - which was unfortunate, but could hopefully be made up for later.
The third outfit consisted of leggings and a formal-looking dress, with very interesting patterns in silver, gold, and dark blue. The leggings were a dark shade that could be mistaken for purple if paired with something else.
The dress had three-quarters sleeves, and was decidedly tight if breathable.
Its shoes looked, and would feel, more like slippers than shoes, but they were as durable as the other pairs.
no subject
This third outfit was more on the formal side. The leggings felt nice, perhaps ideal for visiting a colder place, but this outfit seemed largely built for formal occasions. She's done quite a few of these before! Fortunately, this wasn't a huge gown and she didn't need help putting it on.
"This feels nice!" Konoka commented. "It's been a while since I last dressed formally! Wonder when we'll run into an occasion that needs this!" The slippers were the most comfortable formal wear she's had, and she actually took a look at them while the dress was on.
no subject
Still, she transmitted the live imagery faithfully, even when Konoka bent to look at the shoes. There was no logo, but they did have tiny bows where they enclosed at the front, small enough to not be a tripping hazard.
no subject
That's not to say she'll get rid of the rest. She quite liked all of them that she tried so far.
no subject
That only made sense.
The fourth set, meanwhile, wouldn't have looked out of place in an all-girls' school. It even came with a tie.
And these colors were, again, purple and white, with black accentuating the backs of the legs and arms. Its collar was also rather low-cut.
Then there were the shoes, which looked like somewhere between sneakers and a more formal style.
no subject
It took a bit of adjustment with the top, as she was surprised at how low cut the collar was. "Haha, this kinda takes me back! I used to wear school uniforms all the time!" It was probably the most comfortable of the outfits so far, mostly accounting for familiarity and the shoes. "They weren't quite this formal, I don't think, but it's comfortable all the same."
That one felt like a bit of a gamble to me, admittedly! I'm glad it lands!
And wouldn't that be a plan for the future? The Star Gazer was, to say the least, interested in learning more about what her passenger's world was like.
"It is good that you find it comfortable, though."
And the fifth one, perhaps, would remind Konoka of shows she used to watch: a short purple skirt with a prominent darker stripe around the wasteband; leggings in black and gold, matched with dark shoes with buckles that could be pulled taut; and a short-sleeved frilly lilac shirt, with an off-white undershirt meant to provide support without being spotted from the outside.
was the previous uniform with a skirt bottom or pants?
After taking a look at the uniform she was wearing using the self-vision (her name for when Star Gazer beams what she looks like into her brain), she quickly peeled it off before taking a look at the next one.
...and being thoroughly amused that she immediately thought of magical girl shows.
This one wasn't quite as heavily frilly as an actual magical girl costume, but it was certainly matching those aesthetics, given the sleeves, the short skirt, and how the leggings hugged her body. Of the uniforms she'd been given, these had the most obvious sex appeal.
"You really picked out some interesting themes! This one inspires the magical girl within me," Konoka declared, as she slipped on the outfit. She felt a bit more exposed despite not much of her skin actually showing (none of these exposed much skin, really). Honestly, she'd probably pick this one entirely for the days she spent working within Void-space. "Is that all of them?"
pants, though I'm thinking kapri-length.
"And that is all of the outfits. While we could go over the other items, since we have time, I fear getting you 'riled up' before meeting with the ministry may not be the best idea."
Supply runs were one thing, but this was a rather more serious matter. After, however, the Star Gazer had to believe there would be much occasion for stress relief.
That didn't stop her from feeling nervous now, however.
no subject
The magical girl outfit was perhaps the easiest to move around in. If she really wanted to, she could probably use it for something that expected conflict. Maybe. But a thought for another time.
Of the things she tried out, Konoka decided that first impressions were the best, so... "I'm going to go with the dress! Feels like it's the best thing for visiting the ministry." She could feel that nervousness from the ship, however. "Are you worried on what we might find out?"
Honestly, so was she.
no subject
"Yes, I rather am, Konoka," she admitted.
"Almost as much as I worry about what they may not know yet. It seems... heavy, to have such relevant information be an unknown, let alone possibly remain such."
But there was only one way truly out, and that was through; putting on the speed, she headed towards the base she'd previously marked out.
"Best to focus on what questions they do ask, rather than give them reason to ask more and risk confusing the issue."
If they thought something was wrong, beyond the matters that were simply beyond their control, they were likely to be detained, perhaps indefinitely! Or separated, which for the Star Gazer was a worst-case scenario.
no subject
The void-faring traveler shed her last uniform, slipping back on the more dress-like one for their trip. "Ready as I'll ever be. Let's get started, shall we?"
no subject
When they docked with the ministry's nearest base (a very wide-looking structure, its walls reinforced by the same material used in voidcraft), there was quite a mixed crew of aliens and humans running around.
The Star Gazer was mostly quiet during this time, as Konoka was led to a waiting room where a few solemn-looking other humanoids waited, with a short intake form. None of them greeted her, though perhaps they were simply in similar situations and not much prone to talking about them.
The form itself was plain, asking only her full name (plus a hastily-strikethrough'd 'system number' line), a description of the circumstances of her first becoming aware of the void, how many days or months she had been on a voidcraft, and asking if anyone else she knew from home was either missing or in a suspiciously-unexplained coma.
