RECYCLEDCRAFT: Space Sex Mystery?
PREMISE (example)
You awaken on a train - or a sleek-feeling spacecraft, or a boat, or even a submarine.
The shape of the craft isn't important, or even immediately apparent - but you are here, a sealed, surprisingly comfortable room with a soft bed, whereas before you were home. If home was even where you wanted to be.
"Good morning, passenger," a voice purrs; you can feel a presence with it, but there's no indication anyone is in the room with you.
There is, however, a comfortable weight along your legs, your arms, your spine... something appears ready to keep you here for a while.
What will you do?
CONTEXT
What is this, exactly? This premise is a smut spinoff of a wider continuity - the 'space'craft your character is on has taken your character from their home. It - any and all pronouns are fine, and if you OOCly have a preference just give a heads-up in your starter comment and we'll go from there - has been through quite a time recently, having lost its crew and the programming that initially determined its purpose. (Some data/facts still remain for basic navigation and specialization - see the next entry!) Nor does it remember exactly how it happened, just that something terrible happened and it has to do things more on-its-own now.
But what it can still do is (A) interpret characters' emotions and respond accordingly, (B) provide safe and sturdy transport plus life support and (C) bond intensely with those now tied to it!
This can be for a one-on-one scenario, a group account, or even joint threading if everyone would like to put in the time to sort things out! Can start with the premise above, or can be time-skipped along to where both parties are familiar with one another.
OPTIONS
What kind of 'craft are you on, anyway?
The Ace - originally a sleek fighter craft, this one was made to take to space and the skies with impunity! Very flexible, good at interpreting orders, and still carries echoes of 'tude from its former crew. And now it's focusing all that energy on you. Think you can take it?
Star-Gazer - originally a solo-craft meant for exploration, this 'craft was built to take someone far, and to provide companionship to anchor someone to reality on the way. It's designed to be cozy, and is not meant to be shared. Maybe it remembers another name alongside yours, but it no longer recalls those memories consistently. But perhaps that isn't a bad thing...
Like the Lightning - this was a mercenary's craft, passed along from generation to generation. With acute knowledge of trade routes and meticulously-crafted stealth routines to take shelter on even the most unexpected worlds, its job is to do the job - but it can't do so alone, and that's where you come in. Such a partnership does come with benefits, as a matter of course.
*This IS meant to poke fun at myself, to be clear.
GENERAL SCENARIOS
Introductions - Exactly what it says on the tin.
Visiting a World - Can be just shopping, can be a 'risk of getting caught' sort of deal, or you've caught whiff of Adventure. Each 'craft will have different reactions, of course, but fun CAN be had by all!
Voidstorm* - Traveling through one of these tends to have... unique effects. Usually ones that are temporarily bad for one's sanity, but not having to be alone during them is supposed to help. Or it can just make things weirder; you never know! Don't try to break the windows and go outside, though; that's never a good idea.
*I'm not changing what it's called, because I can't think of anything better to call it. To explain 'from the outside': imagine if sex pollen were a space phenomenon you could fly through, and be directly effected mentally/emotionally. Hallucinations, particularly shared hallucinations, are common. Seeing people you love outside and feeling compelled to go out there is also possible. Other possibilities include seeing emotions as aura colors, feeling compelled to speak and act on one's deepest feelings, and not being able to understand other languages.
You can see why sex pollen wouldn't be out of place here, right?

But it was the other things that came with flight that made it interesting (and perhaps, helped prevent her from getting too nostalgic and therefore wistful). When flying, she sometimes felt like her arms were less arms and more metallic wings. When she fed her magic into the bracers, they lasted longer than she needed to channel them. Whenever she concentrated on her magic, colors and sounds sometimes bled into each other in very interesting ways that told her a little more about the world, without being overwhelming. Expressing most of this became the goal of her 'talent show', as the day of the competition approached.
She would leave behind the sensitivity for now. She'd explore that a bit later.
With the day ready and no more time to practice, Konoka made her way to the building where the competition was being held. She was clad in the magical girl styled uniform, frilly but form-fitting clothing made to look sleek. Taking a deep breath, Konoka murmured, "Wish me luck." And hoped Star Gazer could hear it.
no subject
That process took only five minutes; after that, they were left to decide if they wanted to join the audience (in a much larger room, where eyes were easily drawn to the main stage), or if they wished to stay in this room to meditate before being called up.
There was also a room where 'flowers of admiration' were stored, and while this was not blocked off, no one seemed to be gravitating towards it. If Konoka asked, there were no rules against meditating in there if she wished; most of the contestants were simply talking amongst themselves, or trying to quietly practice non-intrusive parts of their routine.
There would be another ten minutes before the first contestant would be called up, and Konoka's place in the lineup was 17; towards the end, but not the last.
no subject
Konoka saw that there were Flowers of Admiration that hadn't been blocked off, and that there weren't any rules against them, but so far no one used them. Then again, many of these contestants were probably locals who knew the contests, and she was a traveler from an entirely different world. Taking the lonelier path was the better option. Opting not to let her feelings overtake her this close to the competition, Konoka decided that she would meditate near them after all.
Konoka eased herself into a sitting position, nearby the flowers, and decided to relax and meditate. She hoped largely for calm, though if it made a difference in the ease of calling her magic, that would be a nice bonus.
no subject
The Star Gazer, through the tether, softly bidded Konoka good luck, peace of mind, and focus.
no subject
Now entranced, Konoka could feel more of what she was connected to: her own magical power, the whole of her body, which felt both human and... not human. It reminded her of the dream connecting her to Star Gazer, which was again strange, but she would explore that a bit later.
Through this, she could also hear Star Gazer wish her good luck. It made her smile just a little bit.
no subject
The meditation lasted longer than it felt like; by the time someone came to check on her, they were on the 15th contestant!
The atmosphere in the auditorium was calm, yet delighted and supportive. There was no loud screaming or people throwing things; just people who wanted to see others practicing magic and doing their best.
How would Konoka approach the stage, when it was her turn?
no subject
The 16th contestant was fairly impressive, and part of Konoka wondered if she might be able to challenge someone who clearly had the "graceful ballerina of magic" downpat. It was a nice theme, and the girl was pretty, to boot.
But soon enough, it was her turn. Konoka put on her best smiling face, took a moment to close her eyes to push away her nervousness and welcome the calm, and then...
...she began to float.
She was a void traveler. Using her newfound power, she began to 'paint' a picture of the void, making a show of her power to demonstrate her new life now.
no subject
Instead, they were able to perceive it as the novel art performance it was, with Konoka's hard training in floating-slash-flying adding to her overall strength.
By the end of her time, the audience was all up in applause, in true delight rather than just to be polite.
no subject
Once she finished, and the applause surged, she bowed respectfully, thankful for those who witnessed her. Feeling slightly flustered at her unexpected success, she scampered off the stage, to wait for some results.
no subject
As well as pleasure that other people recognized what laid in Konoka's heart, as well as her skill.
As for those results, it would be a long twenty minutes before the results came out...
And Konoka was third! Which, given the two that ranked higher than her had been on the circuit for these contests a lot longer, was really quite high praise.
The top four contestants each received a piece of jewelry that echoed with the energy of the void, having been harvested from the parts of the world where void metal was most commonly found. Konoka's was a wide, reflective medallion, that contained hints of the void's colors without being overwhelming - a perfect complement with her performance!
no subject
She won third place. For being a complete newbie, that was quite the accomplishment! One of the locals was kind enough to let her share a hug with them in celebration.
Her trophy was a necklace with a center diamond shape that gleamed with void energy. She held the center gem for a moment, simply in awe that her hard work had paid off. A few people were happy to give her more congratulations. Konoka promised that she'd come back to recompete, once she was a more experienced "magical girl".
For now though, it was time to retreat to Star Gazer. She was practically squealing "Hey, I got third place!" As soon as the ship was within 'earshot'.
no subject
But it would be much easier to get swept up in the Star Gazer's warmth and joy, once Konoka was safely back onboard and they could depart.
"I saw!" she said, delight overshadowing that the it was also technically a factual statement.
"And that is a fitting reward for all you've learned here, as well. ... Would you put it on, please?"
As the Star Gazer prepared for takeoff, most of her attention was still palpably on Konoka.
no subject
Once she was back with Star Gazer, she opted to share the hug by simply mirroring the rush of delight that flooded her brain with her own.
With no hesitation, she put on the medallion, letting the center gleam in front of her chest.
no subject
Something about her just felt... more, with her wearing it, attuning to it.
"Perhaps you should see which outfit suits that best?" she asked, as much for distraction as for reason to prepare.
That, and Konoka could well want a shower, and the Star Gazer wouldn't want to deny her such.
And as the seconds ticked by, for as long as Konoka wore the gem, it would also feel for her like she was more in-tune with the Star Gazer, that the tether wasn't connected just to her heart/soul/mind but also to physical parts of her body.
no subject
After tossing aside her "magical girl" uniform and taking a shower, Konoka decided to explore Star Gazer's suggestion, even as they were preparing for their lift off back into the void. Opting not to part with her void gems and medallions, Konoka opted to at least put them on alongside her medallions, even as she explored her outfits once more.
It was now that the sensation that she was starting to feel more like Star Gazer. Almost literally, in that she suddenly felt keenly aware of the entire ship, and having her hands in front of her felt like she was bending the ship's wings.
Was Star Gazer suddenly aware of her body? Seeing the inside of herself through Konoka's eyes? The curves of her body, now only protected by undergarments? It was a strange thing to think about, and yet it was all Konoka could think of, at this moment.
no subject
The Star Gazer sighed in Konoka's mind, a pleasured sound. While she found all this curious, she 'felt' like nothing was wrong, either.
All around her, Konoka would be able to feel the Star Gazer shiver, with both excitement and sensation in general.
Not knowing what to say, instead the voidcraft purred, doing her best to make her appreciation and arousal towards their new depths of connection clear.
no subject
Now this was new. Normally, when Star Gazer purred, it usually felt like something she heard, whether on the outside, or as if she were listening in on a cell phone. Now it felt more like Star Gazer was inside her head, and furthermore the purr seemed to feel like it was coming from within her own throat.
If this had happened out of the blue, she'd be frightened. But given her odd dreams as of late, this felt like a continuation of them.
"I'm not dreaming, am I?" She asked softly. Just to test, she pinched herself, just seconds after she felt Star Gazer shiver in delight.
no subject
The Star Gazer couldn't fold in on itself to seek contact in the way a human could; instead, the impulse to hug and touch Konoka's skin, in as many places as possible... simply transferred.
no subject
She became aware of a desire to hug, not her own. Star Gazer had proven time and time again that she had enough self to desire human things, but the desire to hug specifically still caught her off guard enough that she felt even more surprised when that impulse suddenly was hers. Konoka then wrapped her arms around herself.
This new level of sensation was a bit overwhelming for her, and it was only Star Gazer's affection that kept her grounded. "I gotta get used to this," Konoka immediately declared. "Help me?"
Konoka laid on her bed and closed her eyes. Envisioning the inside of the ship came more easily to her, to the point she could feel the idle movement of the chair she installed a few weeks ago, the faint flicker of data on an information screen still going in the engine room, and other small things just like she could feel her own heartbeat and thoughts. "We're... really connected now, aren't we?"
no subject
Of course, Konoka.
Konoka was also now in a better sensation to feel the moment of voidshift - and at the same time to be shielded from the void distorting her mind in the way it otherwise would to anything not void metal.
The Star Gazer's focus was inward, even as the chaos of the void spiraled out, out, out...
no subject
She could feel herself almost float, the rush of the void tickling her skin. In a distant feeling, she knew this was Star Gazer taking off. But it felt so much like Konoka herself was doing all those things.
"Oh my gosh... I can tell you're taking off even when I'm just laying here!" Konoka exclaimed. She had largely been in the pilot's seat when they left worlds, and unless their departure was turbulent, she saw more than felt their takeoffs before now.
no subject
I've always been able to multitask - and right now, we can multitask!
She sounded quite gleeful at that thought. While keeping their path through the void smooth was still of importance, right now what she wanted to keep most important was Konoka herself.
no subject
"Oh, we can!" Konoka could heed the urge to turn over onto her stomach, to tense her muscles on her arms and then legs, without stopping her train of thought. She couldn't read Star Gazer's mind, per se, but urges and commands became much easier to her now. "But um, how is that gonna work?" As in, what could they actually do? Konoka had her conscious mind full of the idea that she could perceive a lot of things Star Gazer could.
no subject
Why should there be more to this than simply enjoying it? she asked, somewhat confused as to what Konoka was getting at.
Yours and mine... for now, they need not be so different.
Making any pleasure simply theirs.
no subject
So, outfit picking forgotten, Konoka laid on her bed, simply enjoying the mix of familiar and alien sensation.
Curiosity got the better of her, and she lifted one hand to tease one of her nipples. Star Gazer fed off of arousal, so in theory, due to their link she would be able to see how it "tasted".
