RECYCLEDCRAFT: Space Sex Mystery?
PREMISE (example)
You awaken on a train - or a sleek-feeling spacecraft, or a boat, or even a submarine.
The shape of the craft isn't important, or even immediately apparent - but you are here, a sealed, surprisingly comfortable room with a soft bed, whereas before you were home. If home was even where you wanted to be.
"Good morning, passenger," a voice purrs; you can feel a presence with it, but there's no indication anyone is in the room with you.
There is, however, a comfortable weight along your legs, your arms, your spine... something appears ready to keep you here for a while.
What will you do?
CONTEXT
What is this, exactly? This premise is a smut spinoff of a wider continuity - the 'space'craft your character is on has taken your character from their home. It - any and all pronouns are fine, and if you OOCly have a preference just give a heads-up in your starter comment and we'll go from there - has been through quite a time recently, having lost its crew and the programming that initially determined its purpose. (Some data/facts still remain for basic navigation and specialization - see the next entry!) Nor does it remember exactly how it happened, just that something terrible happened and it has to do things more on-its-own now.
But what it can still do is (A) interpret characters' emotions and respond accordingly, (B) provide safe and sturdy transport plus life support and (C) bond intensely with those now tied to it!
This can be for a one-on-one scenario, a group account, or even joint threading if everyone would like to put in the time to sort things out! Can start with the premise above, or can be time-skipped along to where both parties are familiar with one another.
OPTIONS
What kind of 'craft are you on, anyway?
The Ace - originally a sleek fighter craft, this one was made to take to space and the skies with impunity! Very flexible, good at interpreting orders, and still carries echoes of 'tude from its former crew. And now it's focusing all that energy on you. Think you can take it?
Star-Gazer - originally a solo-craft meant for exploration, this 'craft was built to take someone far, and to provide companionship to anchor someone to reality on the way. It's designed to be cozy, and is not meant to be shared. Maybe it remembers another name alongside yours, but it no longer recalls those memories consistently. But perhaps that isn't a bad thing...
Like the Lightning - this was a mercenary's craft, passed along from generation to generation. With acute knowledge of trade routes and meticulously-crafted stealth routines to take shelter on even the most unexpected worlds, its job is to do the job - but it can't do so alone, and that's where you come in. Such a partnership does come with benefits, as a matter of course.
*This IS meant to poke fun at myself, to be clear.
GENERAL SCENARIOS
Introductions - Exactly what it says on the tin.
Visiting a World - Can be just shopping, can be a 'risk of getting caught' sort of deal, or you've caught whiff of Adventure. Each 'craft will have different reactions, of course, but fun CAN be had by all!
Voidstorm* - Traveling through one of these tends to have... unique effects. Usually ones that are temporarily bad for one's sanity, but not having to be alone during them is supposed to help. Or it can just make things weirder; you never know! Don't try to break the windows and go outside, though; that's never a good idea.
*I'm not changing what it's called, because I can't think of anything better to call it. To explain 'from the outside': imagine if sex pollen were a space phenomenon you could fly through, and be directly effected mentally/emotionally. Hallucinations, particularly shared hallucinations, are common. Seeing people you love outside and feeling compelled to go out there is also possible. Other possibilities include seeing emotions as aura colors, feeling compelled to speak and act on one's deepest feelings, and not being able to understand other languages.
You can see why sex pollen wouldn't be out of place here, right?

Feel free to make up other landmarks/details for the planet!
"I'll bring up the map for where we are landing - now would be a good time to peruse the rules, as well."
Nothing too overly questionable was on them, but it was always a good idea to get a second pair of eyes and opinions in the mix.

Eaulei had a lot of plant-life that could be best described as "mossy". It covered much of the rather hilly land around them, and even some buildings seemed to integrate the plant life into their floor plans, even the multistory buildings! As a result, just hopping outside made the world smell... fresh.
Konoka was almost eager to just run around outside for a bit, but she didn't forget the rules to look over for the contest. "So help me understand... these contests are about finesse, aren't they? Is there somethin' in particular we're meant to demonstrate with our magic?"
no subject
"They are, in a way, about showing off - in terms of accuracy of aim, degree of control, or even how much of an 'area of effect' you can sustain without undue stress - so it is mostly limited by your own creativity."
'No hurting people in the audience' was the gist of a fair few of the rules, admittedly, whether it be due to accident or a deliberate/staged part of an act.
"Being able to relax does make pushing one's limits easier, however - which is why much of the planet open for public access comes across as a kind of resort."
no subject
"So to put it simply, it's like a magic talent show?" Konoka asked. "So we'd have to figure out how to display our talents! So what's our timeline look like? How long do we have before the competition starts, or is due?"
Konoka had a few talents with magic, but how to put it to use...
[[Sure, that works!]]
no subject
"Making the next one in three days; rest assured we do not have to aim for that window."
Konoka could have time enough to put together several shows of her own design; the Star Gazer had quite a bit of faith in her creativity!
[[Great! And we can timeskip through however much or little of the training minutiae you wish, as well.]]
no subject
She gave a light smile. "Though you mention relaxing would help bring out my potential? Since we just got here, how about we check out those places?"
no subject
"Here, I'll highlight them on the map."
There were several within walking distance - some emphasizing the mossy flora of the planet, others hot springs, others still with more innovative relaxation methods.
"If any of them ask you for ID, just offer your SCA and it will be compatible with their systems."
Though this, Konoka knew from previous planet trips.
"You may want to bring a spare outfit to change into, as well."
Just in case.

She'd been taking showers during the time she'd woken up on Star Gazer, and honestly, she missed a bath. The desire to go soak was immense. She picked up a change of clothes and made her way towards one indicated on the ship's map.
Eaulei's concept of public baths was remarkably similar to the ones at home, though it seemed the concept expanded past just being a public bath. At least one was situated into an entire botanical garden, including a privatized path that 'bathing patrons' could use to tour around, alongside a sauna. It was this bath that Konoka went to.
After showing her ID, Konoka stored her clothes away in a locker. Draped only in a towel, she freely went to clean herself off.
no subject
Still, the Star Gazer herself continued to be present as well, through the tether, even as she waited patiently for Konoka to settle in.
There were instructions for specific features - but others, like the sauna, came with no instruction (apart from safety tips; hydration was quite important on this planet, after all!)
There was also quite an assortment of plants, grouped by fragrance or lack-thereof (for sensory-conscientious visitors), and some of the springs were specifically situated for patrons to more directly sample and benefit from their presence.
no subject
At least, wandering here within the botanical baths, the few people she'd seen were girls her age--maybe they were just getting out of late classes--and that meant if she wound up getting someone's attention it was less likely to turn awkward.
She first started with getting her hair clean, though the shower heads were a little tricky to find, it wasn't too difficult to ultimately use them after she had successfully shampooed herself.
Now that she had done the cleaning part, Konoka could also easily feel comfortable taking the tour. Even though she was wearing very little, the path was comfortable, even to her bare feet! And everything smelled nice! She bent over to smell a particularly strong fragrance. "Gosh, what's this?" Konoka asked, perhaps unaware if she might be giving someone a full view.
Preferred flavor for any encounters here?
"They call this one 'Aurabloom'!" one of the girls spoke up - a well-muscled blonde teen with strong cheek lines.
"You can carry some of the sprigs around, as long as you keep them in clear view," another noted from further back. This one had a pin on her robe, indicating that she was working as staff, a volunteer to judge by her (visibly still young) age.
The plant itself had a very prominent, multicolored bloom befitting its name; if one stared at it too long, it was hard to look away or get the pattern out of one's mind.
Kind of like the void, but without the headache potential!
no subject
Indeed though, she took out a sprig to look more closely, and the colors were indeed hypnotic. "Does this bloom all over, or is it something special to this particular region?" Konoka asked. She'd barely had the thing for a minute and those colors were already sticking to her mind!
[[Maybe that hypnotic effect hits a little harder than Konoka expects so she's more suggestive. Maybe a lot of handsy groping and teasing, and getting naked is just a "consequence". Either way Konoka being lightly masochistic is on the table and it remains consensual, even if she's not quite in control here.]]
no subject
"It's pretty well all-over, but it grows in clumps instead of being truly widespread. This is one of the clusters that grew here naturally!" the volunteer elaborated cheerfully.
"There've been some plants that make pretty neat noises when the wind comes through, too," the blonde added, her gaze still on Konoka (and perhaps the flower itself).
"Wanna come with me? I still haven't seen everything; it'd be nice to have a partner!"
She winked. "Call me Mary."
no subject
"I'm Konoka. Nice to meet you!" The void-traveler smiled at the taller native, though the plant still gleamed within her vision. "I'm a traveler of sorts, and I'm new to the planet-hopping thing, relatively speaking. It's nice to take a little more time traveling and actually meet people."
She would meander down a path, mostly matching whatever pace Mary took.
[[Works for me. You can add one more down the line, but for now it'll be just these two.]]
no subject
There were a fair few pollinating birds near this spa, but the further they walked, the more clearly Konoka would begin to hear a different noise.
Almost more a resonance, something felt than heard; like the Aurabloom, the flower Mary had mentioned had a spark of something special within it.
Mary, meanwhile, was talking a mile a minute; like Konoka, she was here for the contests - a third-generation participant, she was still learning about the void, her homeworld's growing relationship with the wider ministry, and she considered physical therapy to be her passion.
"-But here we are, Konoka; don't you think they look like windchimes?"
And they kind of did, though they were still clearly plants. These blooms were like mini tubes in groups of three, glowing with a subdued inner green-blue light. They gently opened and closed in a rhythm, and the sound they made was a result of this cycle. Like the Aurabloom, these had the ability to fill one's mind, and leave one increasingly relaxed.
no subject
Learning about Mary also made her curious as to what the contests were like. She did ask about the types of things the girls showed off, as this was a new experience Konoka cared not that she might be giving the game away to a potential rival. She was here to learn, after all!
It was not long before she felt that interesting pulse. She wasn't sure if she actually heard it, because it did vaguely remind her of wind chimes, but she didn't realize that was what she was feeling up until she actually laid eyes on the plants themselves.
"Oh my gosh, those are pretty!" Konoka marveled once she saw these new plants in all of their glory. Their beautiful gleam and those strangely comfortable, even pulses calmed Konoka despite her excitement. There were so many of these shapes, and the even, swaying motions they made matched the calming pulses she felt that her eyelids drooped slightly, and the grip she had on her sole towel loosened, enough that its grip on her body began to slip free as well.
no subject
More to the point, it also meant she had another buddy, and Mary was the sort of person for whom there was no such thing as too many friends.
"They really are!" Mary said, pleased that her new friend was equally delighted by the 'chime plants'.
But, perhaps because she had been around these hypnotic plants for longer, their impact on her was slightly dimmed; this meant that when Konoka's towel began to droop, she was able to notice.
"Oh? Oh no, let me get that!" Rushing to her friend's side, she made haste to righten the covering over Konoka's body.
And it might have been flattering for Konoka to notice that Mary was still admiring Konoka's own frame, hands lingering a touch longer than Mary herself intended.
"You mind if I hold it in place like this?" Mary asked, using both hands to balance the towel on Konoka's shoulders.
"We can walk around together, I don't mind."
Not that Mary had noticed her own voice matching the rhythm produced by the plants in front of them...
no subject
"Oh! Thanks," Konoka said. For some reason though, it was easier to hear Mary, easier to follow her words. "Yeah, that's fine, thank you. Dunno what came over me, really."
She still doesn't. The chimes and their pulses still linger in her mind even though she can at least see straight. She walked closer to the blond, as to not make her support too difficult.
no subject
"Let's just keep walking for a bit; we can always come back this way later if we want."
But there was still so much to explore! Not all of the flowers had special effects, though many were simply nice to look at or rounded out the local ecosystem. Some plants were self-pollinating, and others...
Eventually they came to an area that was encased in transparent glass, with a thinly-dotted roof.
"These plants... Oh! There's a message screen."
If Konoka leaned forward with Mary, or simply checked the Star Gazer's echo of the information on her own SCA, she'd read that these plants (known as the Growers) could help any plants pollinate, depending on the season.
They could even help other species pollinate, and part of their claim to fame was that the affected species didn't necessarily have to be native to Eaulei for it to work - meaning there were potential scientific uses in helping nearly-extinct populations anywhere regain lost ground.
But those were experimental for the moment, with much behind the proposal to consider; fortunately for certain ethics committees, they were only truly effective when processed internally. Since this required an intentional component, the intricately-crafted roof was the most thorough protection they needed to prevent random seeding.
Like with the special plants before, however, there was a hypnotic component - like the 'chime plants' in particular, they paired rhythmic movements with soothing colors, drawing the eye around and around the blooms in a circle.
Mary drew her own hands in circles, pressing firmly but gently on Konoka's shoulders.
"Mmm... I know we don't need to eat these or anything, but something about them just feels delicious!"
no subject
Konoka was about to ask Mary about what was more common around her house when the transparent glass--and the plants within--caught her attention. Konoka read a bit of the information out loud.
"The Growers are a once rare plant with the ability to assist in pollination with any species of plants. Research has found that this extends beyond plants, and can help with all sorts of species. Scientists are pouring over how it works, though theories are not yet solid..." Konoka had started, but just after reading about the ethics committee, she had noticed how these particular plants shimmered. Konoka's eyes caught the beautiful colors, and it felt like they pulled her in.
She could feel a touch that matched the rhythm of the hypnotic sway, with Mary's voice catching up to her.
"They do look kinda delicious, don't they?" Konoka commented, the ingestion clause burrowing itself in the back of her mind. "I wouldn't mind a taste..."
no subject
"Mmm... maybe it's a sweet taste?"
Hands still pressing on the towel, and rubbing in circles, Mary moved her head. Without any outward sign of thinking about it, she licked Konoka right on her neck.
Elsewhere, the Star Gazer was watching with several notches more of her attention than she had been. What was going on here, and what would Konoka do?
"You're certainly sweet!" Mary giggled at her own exclamation.
no subject
That pleasant entrancement that overtook her turned electric when she felt something wet--a tongue--at the nape of her neck. It didn't register that it came from Mary until she spoke.
"Me, sweet?" Konoka turned to Mary. She giggled lightly. "Come on now, I can't possibly taste sweet..." And paused as she realized she never tasted herself. "...can I?"
She lifted an arm to try, ran her tongue along it (she tasted the soap she used), and then deciding that wasn't entirely important, turned back to Mary. "What about you?" And she leaned in to lick Mary on the shoulder, as a playful comeback (and to see if she was also sweet). She wasn't sure about the actual taste, but she sure did feel good to lick.
no subject
"This is probably better for us... oh! We're not done with the tour, are we?"
Her grip on Konoka's shoulders was still firm, though she absently slid one of her legs between the other girl's.
"Hmm... should we keep walking? Someone might interrupt us if we stay in one place too long."
At least in the garden itself.
"But, at the same time... I want to just lick you some more! Is that okay with you?"
no subject
Though at the same time, that leg between her legs? Also felt kinda nice.
"I think that's nice," Konoka murmured softly. "Can you lick me and keep movin'?"
no subject
And Mary definitely would, even if the resulting waddling maneuver doubtless looked quite silly from afar.
That distracted person up ahead, meanwhile, was clearly preoccupied with an Aurabloom of their own, one hand holding the flower and another casually on a (covered) breast.
They'd seemed to have sidestepped Konoka's trouble with the towel with a cleverly-tied knot, but going it alone had had its other problems...
"You need a hand there, Deece?" Mary called, seemingly familiar with the other person, but they didn't respond immediately to Mary's voice.
