RECYCLEDCRAFT: Space Sex Mystery?
PREMISE (example)
You awaken on a train - or a sleek-feeling spacecraft, or a boat, or even a submarine.
The shape of the craft isn't important, or even immediately apparent - but you are here, a sealed, surprisingly comfortable room with a soft bed, whereas before you were home. If home was even where you wanted to be.
"Good morning, passenger," a voice purrs; you can feel a presence with it, but there's no indication anyone is in the room with you.
There is, however, a comfortable weight along your legs, your arms, your spine... something appears ready to keep you here for a while.
What will you do?
CONTEXT
What is this, exactly? This premise is a smut spinoff of a wider continuity - the 'space'craft your character is on has taken your character from their home. It - any and all pronouns are fine, and if you OOCly have a preference just give a heads-up in your starter comment and we'll go from there - has been through quite a time recently, having lost its crew and the programming that initially determined its purpose. (Some data/facts still remain for basic navigation and specialization - see the next entry!) Nor does it remember exactly how it happened, just that something terrible happened and it has to do things more on-its-own now.
But what it can still do is (A) interpret characters' emotions and respond accordingly, (B) provide safe and sturdy transport plus life support and (C) bond intensely with those now tied to it!
This can be for a one-on-one scenario, a group account, or even joint threading if everyone would like to put in the time to sort things out! Can start with the premise above, or can be time-skipped along to where both parties are familiar with one another.
OPTIONS
What kind of 'craft are you on, anyway?
The Ace - originally a sleek fighter craft, this one was made to take to space and the skies with impunity! Very flexible, good at interpreting orders, and still carries echoes of 'tude from its former crew. And now it's focusing all that energy on you. Think you can take it?
Star-Gazer - originally a solo-craft meant for exploration, this 'craft was built to take someone far, and to provide companionship to anchor someone to reality on the way. It's designed to be cozy, and is not meant to be shared. Maybe it remembers another name alongside yours, but it no longer recalls those memories consistently. But perhaps that isn't a bad thing...
Like the Lightning - this was a mercenary's craft, passed along from generation to generation. With acute knowledge of trade routes and meticulously-crafted stealth routines to take shelter on even the most unexpected worlds, its job is to do the job - but it can't do so alone, and that's where you come in. Such a partnership does come with benefits, as a matter of course.
*This IS meant to poke fun at myself, to be clear.
GENERAL SCENARIOS
Introductions - Exactly what it says on the tin.
Visiting a World - Can be just shopping, can be a 'risk of getting caught' sort of deal, or you've caught whiff of Adventure. Each 'craft will have different reactions, of course, but fun CAN be had by all!
Voidstorm* - Traveling through one of these tends to have... unique effects. Usually ones that are temporarily bad for one's sanity, but not having to be alone during them is supposed to help. Or it can just make things weirder; you never know! Don't try to break the windows and go outside, though; that's never a good idea.
*I'm not changing what it's called, because I can't think of anything better to call it. To explain 'from the outside': imagine if sex pollen were a space phenomenon you could fly through, and be directly effected mentally/emotionally. Hallucinations, particularly shared hallucinations, are common. Seeing people you love outside and feeling compelled to go out there is also possible. Other possibilities include seeing emotions as aura colors, feeling compelled to speak and act on one's deepest feelings, and not being able to understand other languages.
You can see why sex pollen wouldn't be out of place here, right?

There was also the echo that Star Gazer brought up.
"Maybe it was!" Konoka said, opting not to dwell on it given that she at least hadn't forgotten the gist of that dream, even if the details faded from her memory.
no subject
There weren't too many more administrative tasks to handle, so once Konoka had run through her morning routine they could head off for the classes!
Which, naturally, were hosted in a space dock.
no subject
It didn't take long for Konoka to prepare for the day, picking out another one of her uniforms and doing up her hair. This was space, so Konoka didn't want her hair or outfit to become a problem.
This spaceport was something she saw yesterday on the way to their first flight, but having recently been in a dream, the port felt a little too familiar, briefly making her pause a bit. Memories of being bound as a heavy ship flittered at the edge of her mind, but she shook it off before it could linger. If Star Gazer, Konoka would simply answer "Ah, just memories of the leftover dream pokin' at me."
no subject
So it wouldn't all be covertly seeking pleasure, unfortunately.
When Konoka remarked about her dream, the Star Gazer hummed in curiosity.
But the orientations wouldn't be in any spaces sized for voidcraft, so there wouldn't be too much more to ping on those impressions.
no subject
With these in mind, both the captain and her ship began to line up at the area for takeoff. Today's flight would no doubt be special, especially since Konoka would take her first flight in true space.
no subject
There were, as with the ground-level field, many people milling around - or trying not to, given they had an actual line to stay in - and there were some digital competitive games to play if Konoka used her SCA to sign in.
no subject
Firstly was the map--very useful, and gave her an idea of the course. Secondly, there was apparently some game going on? She decided to check it out and see how it played, if it might be a thing for her.
no subject
The Star Gazer wouldn't voice a preference, and there were more games than even those to choose from, so Konoka could try out any she liked!
no subject
But keeping a rhythm was easier than dancing, even with the SCA "guiding" her with vibrations.
On the bright side, it meant that those long wait times for their turn in space would be passing by much more quickly.
no subject
It did, however, give the ship an idea. 'I'll need you to fetch something after our first time. We can have even more fun the second time through!'
Not to mention more than what they'd have on the ground... which would also help to pass the time when the next waiting-in-line period came, natch.
no subject
"Fetch something?" Konoka asked. She wondered what Star Gazer had in mind.
Their turn was finally coming pretty soon!
no subject
"Something to wear - remember that box?"
That box of toys. (Though there may have been more recent purchases...)
The Star Gazer took to the pre-flight checks with a giddy eagerness, as the countdown got into the single digits.
no subject
She knew what that referred to, given that she had a collection of toys and restraints that she bought some months earlier.
She'd keep that in mind, though it would need to stick to the back now that they were in the takeoff area itself. This was going to be a slightly new experience, given that while Konoka's drifted in void space, she hadn't ever actually been out in space space!
no subject
'You may wish to stay to one side, Konoka. Or behind,' the Star Gazer said, amusement paired with the words.
no subject
Just moments later, liftoff began.
Konoka ascended alongside Star Gazer, rising from the platform and letting her power take shape so she could fly forward. Compared to the atmosphere of the planet below them, the void of space gives no wind resistance. Konoka truly feels like she's floating, and merely willing herself forward.
Keeping Star Gazer's advice in mind, the captain opted to follow to one side for now. She eyed her ship to see how she maneuvered in space.
no subject
Granted, the constellations would in no way be familiar to Konoka, but she could parse basic clusters at even a glance if she so wished.
As for maneuvering, the Star Gazer kept things clean and simple, riding the tether to provide the best telegraphing possible of each turn and curve.
Still, as they flew along the course, the Star Gazer couldn't resist showing off, pulling a tight somersault around an asteroid after telling Konoka to stay back.
'You don't need to go this fast!' she explained. 'I just enjoy it.'
no subject
While part of her does want to imitate Star Gazer's speed and agility, she can't quite pull it off yet. Just pouring on a bit of acceleration almost caused her to careen into an asteroid, but she thankfully stopped herself with a well-timed kick, avoiding injury. Flying was apparently a bit trickier when gravity wasn't bothering you!
no subject
Konoka! The voidcraft had been briefly alarmed, followed just as swiftly by relieved at her Captain's swift thinking.
All right, back to the course itself - balance on my wing, please?
The one closest to Konoka, naturally.
no subject
Konoka made sure not to worry Star Gazer any more than what she'd already done. Thankfully, once she was no longer hurtling out of control, getting back to the path had turned out easy, almost seamless.
With a bit more grace, Konoka managed to gently land on one wing of Star Gazer, cautious as to not interrupt her flight pattern. Star Gazer might very well be doing more than just helping her get back on track.
no subject
Then sped up a little on their course.
I'm going to turn over - remember, we're in zero gravity, nothing is going to happen to you.
Once Konoka could confirm, her ship would begin to turn 'upside down', giving the girl a different view of space as they traveled onward.
no subject
"Oh my gosh...!" Konoka gasped, now seeing the primary planet above her rather than below her. "This is something else!"
no subject
The Star Gazer was cheerful, providing a reassuring presence to anchor her Captain - in more ways than one.
'So this is something I wished to share with you, as well.'
no subject
Konoka, still gazing at the planet "above" her, continued to talk. "Star Gazer... thank you. You've always been there for little ol' me. Savin' me from bein' pulled into the void. Guidin' me into this expanded universe. All of it." And she had so much more to go.
She held one hand close to her chest. "Here's to more adventures!"
no subject
'Aye!'
The next few minutes of the flight were uneventful, as the Star Gazer slowly pivoted herself back to 'upright', but still full of beautiful vistas.
no subject
The flight resumed uneventfully, and Konoka eventually guided herself back into a flying state once Star Gazer shifted back into the "upright" view. Thinking about both reciprocation and the odd dream she had, Konoka idly thought about how Star Gazer perceives the world, and how feeling it like she would might help.
Konoka remained quiet, trying to recall those senses she had, hypnotized into her.
Up to you what the exact shape should be!
