And of course, figuring out what she meant by that prodding.

"Well, I did want to see what passed for some good clothes these days," Konoka answered. "And it couldn't hurt to see if there was an equivalent of a bookstore too, for stuff to read on my down time." She was trying not to think about the ways the coils dug into her and stimulated her, but at the same time, it wasn't unbearable. There was a bit of furtive looking around, but everyone who waved at her didn't seem like they suspected anything.
