The emotional reassurance was enough. Konoka did not bring it up again.

At the very least that particular store visit had been the worst, crowd-wise, and the sooner she stayed off of any escalator, the better. Elevators took longer, but at least she wouldn't feel weirdly self-conscious about someone staring up her skirt, even if it was long enough that it wouldn't provide a good view!

More squeezes did come as Konoka was exploring elsewhere. With warning, she could brace and not give herself away, but they still worked her up quite a bit. Coming up with a white lie about why her cheeks were red to a chatty cashier had been a bit of an exercise, but... Konoka kinda liked it. Hiding the way the Star Gazer teased her, while having some flavor of human interaction satisfied her in a way she couldn't explain right then.

It was approaching nightfall--or whatever equivalent existed on this world--and Konoka was wanting to rest the night and recharge. Konoka had much more to do with Star Gazer. "I think that's everything, right?" She asked about their supplies.
